Colour Mill - New Aqua Blend Range

OK, so this has just landed with us, it appears that one of our most popular brands are about to launch a brand new range of pigments "that brings the best of Colour Mill to a whole new world of baking". 

From what I can gather the new Aqua Blend range is designed to work with non fat based ingredients, sich as royal icing, fondant or macarons.

In true Colour Mill style they are launching 60 colours in one go . . . so we had better start thinking about clearing some shelf space.

While the worldwide lanch is scheduled for the April 17th we have been advised that due to a UK labelling complication the UK launch is likely to be delayed until June - but rest assured we will be amongst the first in the UK to have it (with UK compliant labelling).

Given that CM have always targeted fat based requirements (chocolate & buttercream) this is a huge leap into a very crowded pond with established brands such as Sugarflair, Colour Splash & Rainbow Dust to name but a few. Also it appears that the pricing will be similar to CM's oil based products, as such significantly more than all of the above establised colour ranges.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this new range . . . Should we stock it? . . . and if so all 60 colours? . . . Will customers be prepared to pay the premium, especially given the current challenges?
