Proposal at Coalville

Nick popped into our high street store and asked for a special request with his cake order, he wanted to propose to his girlfriend using not only a Sugar & Ice cake but our window too!

Nick and Beth often walked past our shop in Coalville and admired the different cakes in our window display, so Nick thought it only was only fitting to give Beth her own cake within that very window.

We are constantly surrounded by couples who have recently got engaged, married or celebrated their wedding anniversary, so we were incredibly excited to be a part of Nick’s surprise proposal to Beth!

Having conjured up the plan with the team, Nick left his soon to be fiancé’s engagement ring in our hands ready to be displayed on top of Beth’s cake, accompanied by a window of flowers and heart shaped cakes.

As the time ticked closer to Nick popping the question, our team had their cameras ready and the cake in position, they were so excited for the proposal that they did look like meerkat’s peeping over the counter awaiting Nick and Beth’s imminent arrival.

Beth walked past the shop’s window stopping to admire the cakes as normal, only this time she found a special message addressed to her with a beautiful ring placed on an icing pillow and her boyfriend down on one knee asking her to marry him.

She of course said yes so the team took a few pictures of the happy couple and quickly got the ring out of the window for Beth to try on. Sugar & Ice were honoured to be part of the surprise and were so happy everything went smoothly, we wish Nick and Beth a long and prosperous marriage.
