Saint's Day Celebrations!
1st March 2019There are many Saint days throughout the year and some are celebrated widely and some not so much, which do you enjoy celebrating?
In March we have St. David & St. Patrick’s days and in April we have St. George’s day.
We get regular requests for related items such as national flags, dragons, thistles and clovers.
But there is no special day designated to celebrate St. Elizabeth of Hungary, who is acclaimed to be the patron saint of bakers - we have taken this to include cake decorators too! She was declared a Saint in the thirteenth century so it’s likely they would have excluded this from her patronage.
What better way to celebrate her than my continuing to make fantastic cakes all year round!
