Customer Assistant (Including Online Operations)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our team at our Coalville store. You will be working toward the launch and ongoing operations of the Company’s new e-commerce store. You will be responsible for performing general duties within the store whilst providing support for the project. Your duties may include;

  • Preparing the necessary documents required for the successful launch of the e-commerce store
  • Preparing the products, including coordinating photoshoots and generating product descriptions
  • Assisting with the preparation of updated company procedures
  • Developing knowledge of the new electronic system
  • Performing general shop tasks, including stock rotation and customer service
  • Implementing business changes with the aid of the Company’s project manager
  • On and offline customer service, including email, telephone and social media
  • Picking and packing customer orders efficiently
  • Adding new products onto the online store and updating product prices when required

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Some customer service experience
  • An interest in cake decorating (possibly with cake decorating experience)
  • Desire to achieve and drive successful results
  • The ability to work well as an individual and within a team
  • Confidence when working with Microsoft products
  • Fast learner with a positive attitude
  • Some knowledge or understanding of selling online (not essential)

This is a permanent, part time role of 19 hours per week. Initially you will be required to work on Tuesdays (7.5 hours), Wednesdays (7.5 hours), and Thursdays (4 hours) with the possibility of more flexibility in the future.
