We’ve FINALLY got a website!

Since we took on our first Sugar & Ice store back in 2002 we’ve attempted to create a website on a number of occasions, often unfortunately the project was pushed onto the backburner as so many other small business owners will understand (even if my husband is an IT contractor I might add!). Having relied on word of mouth and our Facebook following to bring us new customers, we knew 2017 was the year to develop the business further, for us a website is an extension of our stores, an informative area where customers can keep up to date with the latest from the cake world, see our gallery of work and stay in touch even when the stores are closed.

We have lived in Leicestershire since the early 1990s, we have become a part of the community, raised our children, and created our business here, which is why we always aim to assist the community and local businesses to grow and develop wherever possible. With this project we began by joining forces with West Midlands Media, a website design company in Wolverhampton. When they visited our store they were as fascinated in cake decorating as we were in website design, the team have helped and guided us through the process to create what we feel is the website we’ve been waiting for.

We then contacted our Leicester College and two budding photographers (Charlotte & Jasmine) took an interest in the project. Tasked with a long list of photos we desired, the girls got to work and created the majority of our website’s showcase images.

It’s taken a long time with a lot of hard work and dedication from all of our team at Sugar & Ice, both front of house and back! And so we hope you like the site as much as we do, we hope this project will help us to see continued growth within our business and local community and we hope this blog will keep you up to date with our progress as a company and the newest information within the cake world.
